The process is intended to give us a clear understanding of your case and ensure that it is within our area of expertise. The fee for the initial consultation process is $2,500 + GST.
Any information you provide on the form is treated as confidential and only retained if you become a client. It generally takes 2-3 weeks from the time of completing this form to obtaining an appointment with Jeremy.
We check for availability and any conflict of interest on our end. We will get back to you promptly if we need any more documents or information in relation to your case.
You will have a face-to-face or Zoom meeting with Jeremy to answer your questions, ascertain your legal position and determine the work needed to settle your divorce quickly. It generally takes 1-1.5 hours.
We will send a post-consultation report within 2 days, including your options, the outcome you can reasonably expect and your next steps.
Together we agree on a set fee for all the work on your case, rather than charge you an hourly rate at the end of it. No surprises for you.
In some situations, we must accept instructions through a solicitor to help you. If you do not have a solicitor, we can arrange one for you.
You will receive regular updates and easily communicate with us. We’ll take care of the rest.

You never have to worry about the uncertainty that comes from an unpredictable hourly fee. Jeremy operates on a fixed fee basis, so no additional fees will be incurred if your case takes longer than expected.
We work with you to clearly define your goals at the first meeting. Once the scope is defined, we are usually able to offer the option of a fixed fee arrangement to settle your case.
These fees are paid per month or stage of the process. You may not pay all of the scheduled fixed fees if you reach an agreement before the matter progresses to a court hearing.
If your matter involves complex property issues, we are required to have a solicitor involved in your file. We will remain your main point of contact.
You have the ability to select an instructing solicitor of your choice. You may have used them for other matters, such as commercial advice. We can provide you with recommendations and arrange a suitable lawyer.Jeremy can speak further on this process and the associated costs.
